The Kinks – ‘Something Else’ LP UK 1967 1st Press
A beautiful 1967 UK first stereo pressing of The Kinks album Something Else on Pye Records. The strong Near mint disc looks as if it’s possibly unplayed; each label has a single spindle mark, which might have been from stacking at the factory, but in any case, if this has been played, we’d guess it was no more than once or twice, and carefully at that. The vinyl surface and the labels are in stunning condition. Stampers are A-1 and B-2.
The cover grades EX; the silver ink on this album is prone to wear, but this one presents nicely, with some very light shop wear, two tiny match-head size flaws, one on the left edge about 2/3 down, and one to the left of Mick Avory’s hair. Neither is significant. There is a 1″ area on the top center spine beginning to split, but this is barely noticeable. This is by far the cleanest UK copy of this highly desirable album that we’ve seen.
