The Rolling Stones – White Label Promo “England’s Newest Hit Makers” LP & Photo
An extremely rare white label promotional copy of the Rolling Stones’ 1964 US debut album, England’s Newest Hitmakers on London Records (with the scarce “Full color photo.”) The earliest copies of the first few US Rolling Stones albums featured US printed covers containing UK pressed discs, with the highly collectible ffrr labels. This is one of a very few UK pressed, white label promotional copies of the Stones debut, with “Not For Sale” and “Made In England” at the top of the labels, and a promotional sticker on the album cover.
The disc is in Near Mint condition and very lightly played; the Side 1 label has some faint residue from a sticker that has been removed over the London logo. The cover is the textured version, and in VG++ condition–the front is near mint, but there is some light wear to the back and there is some chipping to the spine on the left edge and bottom (though the spine is fully intact.) The “full color photo” is the correct textured one, and in Near Mint condition. An extremely scarce and collectible artifact from the beginning of The Rolling Stones.
