A scarce cardboard boxing-style promotional poster advertising the Rolling Stones 1978 album Some Girls, and featuring and featuring the withdrawn artwork with images of Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett and others.

Printed by Colby Posters of Los Angeles, these were posted on telephone poles around Los Angeles.  We obtained this from an employee of the company hired to post these at the time of the album’s release.  He told us they were only posted in Los Angeles, and when The Stones were sued by some of the celebrities pictured on the album cover, they were quickly pulled down by his company.  This is an unused example in excellent condition.  14″ x 22″.

A copy of this poster sold at Heritage Auctions in November 2017 for $1350.
