An original vintage RIAA Gold Record Award for the Rolling Stones hits collection MADE IN THE SHADE, presented to Art Collins, the former head of Rolling Stones Records. I obtained this award from his estate and it is completely original and unaltered (unlike most vintage awards on Ebay, which have been "restored" greatly reducing their value & desirability.) This album was certified Gold on August 7, 1975, and this award dates from the certification. It is the vintage "strip plate" style with the album cover artwork and RIAA insignia on the gold colored plate at the bottom. There is some scuffing on the frame and plexiglass, which you find regularly on unrestored RIAA awards. But this is the real deal–unlike so many fake awards sold on Ebay as authentic.
