The Who – Australian Sell Out Album With Alternate Artwork

A near mint Australian first pressing of ‘The Who Sell Out’ with the original cover artwork featuring Keith Moon holding a large tube of Clearasil acne ointment (instead of Medac.) This was the only country where Keith’s tube read Clearasil, and while there is no consensus on why, it seems likely the Clearasil artwork was changed because the company objected (the other products used, Odorono deodorant, Heinz Baked Beans and the Charles Atlas exercise program were all real world products, whereas Medac was not.) The cover is in near mint minus condition, the disc grades near mint minus/excellent plus. The only example we’ve ever had of this rarity (our favorite Who album, too.)
