The Who – Set of Five 1970 Decca Album Cover Displays (Including “My Generation” and “Sell Out”)

A set of five promotional album cover slicks for albums by The Who, sent out by Decca Records in 1970 for display in record stores.

These original 12″ x 12″ vintage slicks include the covers of The Who Sing My Generation, Happy Jack, The Who Sell Out, Magic Bus and Live at Leeds.  Each has two pieces of unused double sided tape, across the top and bottom, with instructions to peel the backing, presumably to allow these to be attached to a wall.  The tape backing on each slick is unpeeled, and each is in Near Mint to Mint condition, indicating these have never been used. (There is a bit of tape residue visible on the Sell Out slick, at the bottom.)

We have never seen another set like this, nor can we locate any online reference for them.  Extremely rare and impressive.
