A very rare 1954 handbill advertising a Modern Jazz Festival featuring one of a very few performances by the Composer’s Workshop, featuring Charles Mingus, Teo Macero, Art Farmer, Kenny Clarke, Eddie Bert and Hall Overton, and Thelonious Monk.  This show took place at the Kaufman Auditorium of the YMHA on April 23, 1954, and was one of a handful of performances by this short-lived group.  8 1/2″ x 11 3/4″, folded twice for mailing, in overall excellent condition, with a small drawing on the back side.  We can find no other example online.
