Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – 1976 Signed Debut Album, With Roger Epperson COA

A promotional copy of the 1976 self-titled debut album by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, signed near the time of its release by Petty and the original Heartbreakers band–Mike Campbell, Stan Lynch, Ron Blair and Benmont Tench.  The album was autographed for the late Ron Kane, a legendary Los Angeles area record collector and at the time record store employee.

On the front cover, the album is signed “Thanks Tom Petty”, “And thanks again Ben Tench”, “Thanks Stan Lynch” (who has drawn a heart around his signature), and “To another Ron, thanks for the shirt, Ron Blair”.  On the back cover, over his photo, Mike Campbell has signed “Great T Shirt, Thanks Ron, Mike Campbell” (Campbell’s signature is clear but a bit difficult to read because of the contrast of the photo).

The cover is in near mint condition with a clipped corner, marking it as a promo copy.  The near mint original disc is included, as is a sticker with the heart logo, attached to a piece of clear vinyl.  This album has been authenticated by Roger Epperson, one of the foremost music authenticators in the world, and comes with his letter of authenticity, as well as Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.  A great set of vintage original Heartbreakers autographs.
