Tom Waits – Handwritten Original Song Lyric Page
A page of lyrics for Tom Waits' song "The Flash Pan Hunter" from his 1993 album "The Black Rider." Waits wrote out this lyric sheet and used it while recording the song at Sunset Sound Factory studios in Hollywood, CA. This page contains the chorus and second verse of the song, which he wrote with William Burroughs. It is written on the back of a letter from Robert Wilson's assistant to Waits regarding some drawings he was sending for Waits' approval (perhaps for the album cover; Wilson created "The Black Rider" with Waits and Burroughs as a theatre piece.) After the sessions he gave this sheet to an engineer on the session, from whom we obtained it. This is one of the very few handwritten Waits lyrics to ever be offered for sale. Included is the engineer's letter of authenticity, and a copy of "The Black Rider" CD. A unique opportunity; guaranteed authentic with no time limit.
