Van Morrison – Vintage Photograph by Adrian Boot

A vintage photograph of Van Morrison by Adrian Boot This is an original hand-printed photograph, made from the original negative and printed probably sometime in the 70’s or 80’s.

This photograph was taken by British photographer Adrian Boot for the Retna Pictures stock photo agency; his photo credit is on the back with stamps from Retna, which licensed photographs to magazines and newspapers for publication on behalf of photographers.  “Van Morrison” is written on the front at the bottom border, and bit of red grease pencil in on the left border, indicating this was used for publication.

Adrian Boot is one of Britain’s most celebrated music photographers.  He was the staff photographer for Melody Maker, and also shot for NME, The Face, The Guardian and The Times (of London).  He has photographed a wide variety of musicians, from the Sex Pistols, Clash, Damned to Jimmy Page, Bob Marley & The Wailers, the Grateful Dead in Egypt, and Live Aid.
