Velvet Underground – 1970 Sterling Morrison Handwritten Set List
An original Velvet Underground set list in guitarist Sterling Morrison’s hand, from a show at the Quiet Knight in Chicago, sometime between January 14-25, 1970. This was written on the back of a memo pad from Norris & Kenly, a defunct Chicago area brokerage firm.
Only a handful of Velvet Underground set lists have survived, all preserved by the late great Velvets lead guitarist. We feel set lists are among the most compelling of all music collectibles, documenting a specific moment in a band’s evolution–in this case, one of the most analyzed and collectible bands ever. This is an exceptional set list, featuring the band’s iconic songs “Waiting For the Man”, “White Light/White Heat”, “Femme Fatale” “Beginning to See the Light” and other classics.
We acquired this directly from Sterling Morrison’s widow, Martha. Her letter of authenticity is included, as is our written lifetime guarantee. Truly museum quality.
