Velvet Underground – Sterling Morrison Max’s Kansas City Charge Receipt

A Max’s Kansas City carbon “charge record” for a $12.24 charge made by the late Velvet Underground guitarist Sterling Morrison (who also wrote his name and address at top.)

Morrison and the Velvets were frequent customers at Max’s, where the band played their last series of concerts with Lou Reed in September 1970 (their Live At Max’s Kansas City album was recorded during these shows.)

This receipt is from Morrison’s archive, and comes with Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee, noting this was acquired from Sterling Morrison’s widow, Martha Morrison.  3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″.
