Velvet Underground – Sterling Morrison- Owned 1993 German Concert Poster
From the collection of Velvet Underground guitarist Sterling Morrison, a concert poster for the Velvets’ June 11, 1993 show at the Hamburg Sporthalle, as part of the band’s short-lived reunion tour.
This poster features Andy Warhol’s classic Banana artwork, printed on a background of metallic silver ink. Morrison was the Velvet Underground’s archivist, and this comes from his personal collection. We obtained this poster from Morrison’s widow, Martha Morrison; a copy of her letter of authenticity is included, as is Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
In Very Good condition, with an archivally closed 1″ tear, light handling, staple holes to the four corners, and a 1″ piece missing to the bottom left corner. 33′ x 23 ½’
