A unique Polaroid instant test photograph of the reunited Velvet Underground, taking during a 1993 photo session, by an unknown photographer.  This was part of Velvet’s guitarist Sterling Morrison’s legendary archive of Velvet Underground memorabilia.

During photo sessions, a photographer would take a test Polaroid like this, so they could make sure the lighting and composition were perfect, before shooting the subject on film.  Polaroid photos were self developing, and could be viewed after one minute.

This dates from the era of the Velvet’s short lived reunion tour of Europe.  We acquired this directly from Sterling Morrison’s widow, Martha Morrison, and it comes with her letter of authenticity.  With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.

In very good condition, with smudging/scraping above Moe Tucker and Sterling Morrison’s heads, as often found with test Polaroid photographs.  4 1/4″ x 3 3/8″
