Woodstock – Original 1969 Press Pass

An extremely rare Press Pass for the 1969 Woodstock Festival (short for the Woodstock Music & Art Fair – An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace and Music.)  The story of the Woodstock Festival and the artists who performed is familiar to any fan of 60’s rock– the rain, the mud, the crowd of 500,000 watching Jimi Hendrix, The Who, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Sly & The Family Stone, Jefferson Airplane, The Band, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and so many more.  This original Press pass was used at the festival by Bert Yellen, who worked for Albert Grossman, manager of The Band, Joplin, the Butterfield Band and famed Woodstock resident but festival no – show Bob Dylan.   Yellin had a backstage pass, but told us a friend at CBS also got him this Press Pass which allowed additional access.  The only example we’ve ever seen.  In excellent condition with a few tiny holes;  3 1/2″ x 2 1/8″.  With Recordmecca’s written guarantee of authenticity.
