A huge and spectacular poster advertising a March 3, 1964 concert by Duke Ellington and his Orchestra at Victoria Hall in Geneva, Switzerland (see second photo to see how big this is).

Designed by Swiss graphic artist Erwin Meierhofer, this measures 50 1/2″ x 35 1/2″, and is by far the most impressive jazz poster we’ve seen in nearly 50 years of collecting and selling.

Printed on thin stock, this has been archivally backed on rice paper for durability.  In Excellent condition, with a bit of even toning, and a barely noticeable flattened horizontal crease across the midpoint, where the poster was originally folded in half. A small missing piece to the right edge has been invisibly repaired.

The only example we’ve seen, and as impressive as it gets.
