A 1971 UK Silver Disc Award for Family’s single “In My Own Time”, from the collection of the late John Weider, the Family guitarist/violinist/bassist who also played with Eric Burdon and the Animals and Stud.

‘In My Own Time” was on the UK charts for 13 weeks, reaching a peak of #4.

Engraved onto the top of the silver metal disc is “In My Own Time by “Fearless Family”; at the bottom is engraved “Thank you / Kinney Record Group 1971″.  Kinney was the owner of Family’s label, Warner/Reprise.

UK disc awards are very rare, and generally were only presented to individual musicians or band members.

We acquired this directly from John Weider’s estate.

In Excellent condition.  11″ x 12 1/4”.
