Gram Parsons – Original Photo Page From His Personal Scrapbook / Pictured in ‘The Early Years’ LP Booklet (Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers)

A page from Gram Parsons’ personal scrapbook with five original photo-booth photographs of a young Gram, and a drug-related cartoon, collaged onto a printed magazine page.   This page is reproduced in the booklet from the album Gram Parsons: The Early Years.

The accompanying letter of authenticity from John Delgatto of Sierra Records notes, This letter is to authenticate a page from Gram Parsons’ mid-60s scrapbook.  I obtained this from the late Paul Surrat, a member of Parsons’ mid-60’s folk group, The Shilos.  Paul had previously obtained it from Gram Parsons’ now-deceased sister, Avis Parsons.  In 1979 my label, Sierra Records, released ‘Gram Parsons-The Early Years,’ an album of tracks by Parsons and The Shilos.  One year earlier, I purchased this and a number of other Parsons-related items from Surrat, for possible inclusion in the package.

Parsons mounted his collage on thick card stock, punching three holes on the right edge.  A small piece of the backing card on the bottom right corner is missing and there are glue stains on the back, neither affecting the image.  (The image from the Gram Parsons: The Early Years booklet are for reference only and not included.)

8 1/2″ x 11″ in very good condition.

An extraordinary Gram Parsons collectible, with Delgatto’s letter of authenticity, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee.
