Grateful Dead – 1967 ‘Abe Lincoln’s Birthday Party’ Fillmore Handbill / with Moby Grape, Sly & The Family Stone, etc.

A scarce handbill for the Bill Graham produced Abe Lincoln’s Birthday Party concert at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco.  This appears in the definitive reference The Art of Rock as plate 2.73/

Held on February 12, 1967, the show featured the Grateful Dead, Moby Grape, Sly & the Family Stone, Notes From the Underground and the New Salvation Army Band.  The show was a benefit for the Council For Civic Unity, and thus not part of the Bill Graham series. No poster was produced for this show.

8 3/4″ x 11 1/2″, in excellent condition, with a tiny bit of paper loss to the top left corner, and minor creasing to the other corners.  Artwork by Hank Lelo
