Jimi Hendrix – French “Electric Ladyland” LP With Unique Cover / Near Mint

A scarce and beautiful French second pressing of Jimi Hendrix’s masterpiece double album Electric Ladyland.  Hendrix’s French label, Barclay, created their own album covers for Hendrix’s albums, and while they’re all beautiful, this has long been our favorite.  And while the inside of the gatefold is similar to the UK release, the photo of Hendrix is unique to this edition as well.

This 1971 second pressing is identical to the first pressing, except for the designation of the publishing rights organization SACM on the labels, rather than the earlier BIEM.

The discs look unplayed and grade M/M/NM/M, with a small radial imperfection during the song ‘1983’, likely from the pressing plant, which causes a light whooshing sound for about a minute.  The cover is Near Mint.

A beautiful example of a desirable Hendrix rarity.
