An RIAA Double Platinum Record Award for Prince and the New Power Generation’s album Diamonds & Pearls, presented to a former Senior Vice President of Warner Bros Records, Prince’s label.

Recordmecca’s Jeff Gold, the art director of this album and a former Executive Vice President/General Manager of Warner Bros. who worked closely with Prince, obtained this directly from a former co-worker.  We have blurred out the original recipient’s name on the photo here, for the previous owner’s privacy, but it appears on the original award.

This award was originally framed in one of the wood and plastic frames that often delaminates; that was the case here, so we have had the wood frame replaced.  The entire award is original and in near mint condition; only the wood frame was replaced (there are a few minor scuffs on the plexiglas, otherwise everything is mint.)
