Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – 3rd Annual Induction Dinner Program & Menu / The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Beach Boys, Supremes,

A mint condition program and menu card from the third annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction dinner, held at New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel on January 20, 1987.

Inducted that year, and featured in this deluxe 36 page program were The Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys, The Supremes, and The Drifters, as well as early influences Les Paul, Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie.  Also inducted were Motown Records’ Berry Gordy Jr.

Also included are essays on Hamburg’s Star Club, Folk Music 1958-63, The Rise of Motown, and a beach music story titled ‘On The Beach.’

The menu card notes ‘Tonight, among the other outstanding honorees, we are proud to induct our first non-American act, The Beatles. In keeping with the British flavor of the evening, we are serving a traditional English meal…’

The program measures 8 1/2″ x 12″ and menu card 3 3/4″ x 8 1/4″.   With an additional insert regarding the members of The Drifters.
