The Who – Fillmore East 1969 ‘Tommy’ Concert Program
A scarce program for The Who’s October, 1969 six-night residency at New York’s Fillmore East, during which they performed their new rock opera, Tommy.
This deluxe program includes a 12-page insert printed on blue paper with a band biography, band photo, individual member photos, a page explaining the concept of Tommy, 4 pages of Tommy lyrics, production credits, a page-long Who discography with album cover photos, an essay on Pete Townshend’s spiritual teacher Meher Baba, and a page of Fillmore East credits. The program also features a full page ad for the Tommy album and many period advertisements, including album ads for Crosby Stills & Nash’s debut, The Kinks’ Arthur, and titles by John Mayall, Spirit, Vanilla Fudge, Bonzo Dog Band and Ten Years After.
In very good to excellent condition, with a long flattened vertical central fold, and an invisibly repaired small tear to the back cover at the edge.
