An original 16″ x 20″  photograph of Police drummer Stewart Copeland, by famed fine art photographer Duane Michals, shot during the photo sessions for The Police’s best selling album Synchronicity. 

The central image of Copeland with a tuba blocking his face appears on the Synchronicity album cover.  This original vintage print, signed at the bottom by Duane Michals, was obtained from legendary record executive Jeff Ayeroff, art director for the Synchronicity album and at the time Vice President of Creative Services for the Police’s label, A&M Records.

Duane Michals is an acclaimed fine art photographer who has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Museum of Art and the International Center for Photography, and has been honored by the National Arts Club and Royal Photography Society.
