Stevie Wonder – Italy Only LP With Songs Sung In Italian “My Cherie Amor/Solo Te, Solo Me, Solo”
A rare 1970 Italian first pressing of Stevie Wonder’s album My Cherie Amour, with a unique cover and 2 songs sung in Italian!
During the second half of the 1960’s, artists including The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds and Procol Harum recorded songs in Italian, in an effort to have hit singles in that market. The original Italian issue of My Cherie Amour featured a different album cover, featured Wonder singing versions of the title cut and “Yester Me, Yester You, Yesterday” in Italian (here retitled “Solo Te, Solo Me, Solo Noi”).
The cover and disc are both VG/VG(+) with hairlines and general light wear; the album plays well with a bit of surface noise. The only example we’ve seen of this rarity.
